Laura & Taeju’s Wedding Pictures
Laura contacted me all the way back in March 2014 to inquire about an engagement session. She was in Canada at the time and her fiance, Taeju, was planning the wedding in Korea. Although he was in charge of everything, she wanted to make sure she found a photographer that wasn’t going to take the typical Korean wedding ceremony pictures. For those of you who don’t know about weddings in Korea, most Koreans will place all the emphasis on pre-wedding pictures. Basically, a glamorized studio session where couples wear at least 2-3 full wedding outfits and take pictures in various backdrops. Many couples don’t even care about the wedding day photos. It’s a completely backward concept than what’s typical for a Western wedding. After a string of emails and coordination, I finally met with Taeju to finalize all the details of the wedding. The wedding took place in July 2015 – more than a year after our initial contact! It was a beautiful wedding and Laura did a fantastic job following the instructions of what to do during the traditional Korean ceremony although everything was in Korean. Imagine having to go through your own wedding ceremony and not being able to understand a single things that’s being said! Laura – you did an amazing job and I’m sure you will have a much more relaxed wedding in Canada. Thanks for trusting me to be the photographer to capture your wedding! Best wishes to the both of you!
