Cornel & Anneke Pre-wedding Pictures
First things first – these aren’t really pre-wedding pictures because Cornel & Anneke were already married when I took these, but it just sounds weird to put “post-wedding pictures”. If anybody has a better name for this, please let me know! I took these pictures for Cornel & Anneke last year as a goodbye present. I offered to take their pictures as long as they paid for the rentals and were ok with me experimenting on them. They were thrilled with the idea, but I don’t think they realized how intense the photography session was going to be…haha. I wanted to spend the whole day experimenting with lighting, a variety of poses and settings. It turned out to be over 10 hours long! I didn’t even expect it to be that long, but experimenting with flash late at night with long exposures took much longer than expected. I got some good shots at night, but it made me realize how much there is to learn when it comes to off-camera flash and lighting. Putting the technical elements aside, Cornel & Anneke were AMAZING. When two people are so in love, it really does come out in the pictures and makes it much easier for the photographer. That’s pretty much how it was with Cornel & Anneke. It took me forever to finish these pictures, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for your patience! I’m sad that the two of you are no longer in Korea, but I really hope Rachel and I can visit you in South Africa at some point. Enjoy the pictures!
